Back up...and running

What seemed to me to be a stampede of massive proportions was easily handled by two, only two, very capable Outriders. All my embarrassment and humiliation dissolved ...albeit slowly...as i realized they were ushering the bosk to a more orderly arrangement and soon i would be on my way. I crouched slightly, not that i really had to, but i kept a lower profile between two shaggy haired beasts as they slowly lumbered toward an opening. At the last moment, i stood up, slipped free and barely braved a glance back to the men working and guiding the beasts. I did wave thank You, and say the same, when they called out once spotting me. Most likely they were scratching their heads wondering what a slave holding a bowl was doing prancing around out among the bosk, though the speculation probably had some pretty good scenarios.

Once free of the minor calamity (and by the still rapid rate of my heartbeat, the calamity was not minor to me) i began to run. I had my purpose in mind again and the freeing stride allowed my mind to roam to sweeter thoughts. I was heading toward the wagons now, though it would take some time since i had to circle all around the bosk. I smugly decided that it would only have taken Brave Warrior Fonce without help to tame those restless beasts. I wondered how restless the Artisan Mistress was now. What was She thinking...anyway? Was i an act of generosity? or perhaps an apology? Was i a gift of teasing proportions to stoke a fire that would not be quenched solely by the gift itself? She had amused me with Her seriousness, leaving a trace of half smile on my face as i left Her. My own obedient intensity to follow Her directions had softened as the plan was explained to me, though i thoroughly intended to give it my all. There was just that little hitch of getting the stars and moons to align and cooperate and reveal just where to be ...at the right place...at the right time...in the right moment.

Which is an awful lot to ask of the sky. So I created a back up plan.
